Why I don’t exercise

A short list of my excuses for not going to the gym (but there are many many more !):

  • It’s too late (the gym is open until 22:30)working out
  • I am tired
  • My back hurts
  • I am sick
  • I am on antibiotics
  • I am asleep
  • I have to pay the bills tonight
  • I have to cook for tomorrow
  • I can’t make it to the only interesting class in the gym because… I work between 09:00 and 10:00 on Thursdays
  • I don’t have any gym pants that fit, I can’t find my sports bra or my swimming suit.
  • I don’t have clean socks
  • I can’t find my gym card
  • It’s raining/snowing outside
  • It’s too cold/too hot outside
  • I have to finish watching Downton Abbey on Netflix.
  • I would like to go to the Ashtanga class, but I am afraid I will not be able to follow.
  • I can’t find a parking space in the gym garage
  • I have not had dinner and I am starving
  • I did not have time to shave my legs and give myself a pedicure and I am ashamed to undress in the lockers
  • There is Castle/Midsomer murders/Dr. Who on TV tonight
  • I have to continue this excellent book I started…
  • I have walked a lot today (too much grocery shopping)
  • I don’t feel like it, I will go tomorrow
  • Well, I am already fat anyways, so I can just sit down with this cup of tea and another cookie…
